I have worn so many hats since I was a child, I dreamed of being an animator as a child, at the age of 6 I have asked my mom to bring me with her and leave me in Disneyland when she left for California. I felt that if I make art, I will never grow old. I would use most of the pages of my notebook , copying figures from the renaissance artists seen inside pages of my mom’s Readers Digest. However upon the influence of my parents, my artistic inclination went on hibernation. I became a doctor of medicine, an internist specializing in Infectious Diseases. But my passion in the arts triggered again, and this time not just a hobby but a profession. Like a force field where you get entwined with other artists and share experiences. Since then I have had 3 solo shows and several group shows.
I paint mostly everyday, whether it be watercolor, acrylic or oil. It starts with abstract shapes then the painting emerges planned or if I have no plan, by turning the canvas around an idea develops. Coming from different disciplines, from learning anatomy in medicine to my rekindled passion for the arts, my paintings tell a story in so many phases , as a child, growing up with different interests such as dancing, baking, then a doctor of medicine, storytelling in different platforms is a natural for me to convey visually.
